Job Description

MSW/MFTi/Prison re-entry / 14-18 hours per week

$20-$24 per hour based on experience and licensure

Supervision hours available

Mondays (12-9) and Fridays (12-7)

Our Road Prison Project is a new, exciting and innovative non-profit committed to advocacy, re-entry services for men and women who are returning to the community after serving life with the possibility of parole. 

We are looking for a master’s level clinician/re-entry counselor to join our team to provide individual counseling and group facilitation.

We are a team of certified substance abuse counselors who have served life with the possibility of parole, licensed clinical social workers and volunteers who are deeply committed to supporting the success or our participants.  We are a “startup” non-profit so everyone rolls up their sleeves and helps out with everything from filing to taking out the trash.  Teamwork, flexibility and a sense of humor are necessities to succeed at Our Road.

We believe in the power of a new start. Everyone deserves the opportunity to build a successful life after returning to the community, to find satisfying work and a home, to learn and develop new skills, and to become active members of the community.

Our participants have spent decades in prison and are highly motivated to build their lives in the community including securing good jobs, housing, reconnecting with family and developing new relationships. Our staff support participants emotionally and by helping them build skills in resume writing, creating budgets and improving their communication skills.

Requirements:

•    Master’s degree required

•    Commitment to participant empowerment

•    Competencies with Microsoft Word and Google Docs

•    Willingness to learn ARMS database

•    Database experience preferred

•    Experience with individual and/or group work required
